The characteristic mountain in Královský Hvozd (Royal Forest). It has two peaks, the higher one (1280 m) lying on the Czech side of the border and the lower one (1241 m) on the Bavarian side. In the past it was called The Breast of the Mother of God. The outline of Ostrý is well visible from mountain Pancíř.
